Dr. La Toya Luces-Sampson is an ever-evolving woman.
She is a wife and mother, from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.
She is a board-certified OBGYN, having completed a 6-year combined bachelor’s and doctorate (BS/MD) program at Howard University.

She graduated from medical school at the age of 24 as an inductee of the Alpha Omega Alpha honorific medical society.
She went on to complete her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and held various leadership positions in the subsequent years.
Her journey into entrepreneurship began with Buy Default: a curated directory of Black businesses and Black professionals who cater to the Black community. More recently, she founded Amina OBGYN Consultants: an independent contracting company providing hospital-based OBGYN services.
It is through entrepreneurship that she found her own path out of physician burnout.
Dr. Toya, as she is known on social media, now uses her platform to educate women on taking charge of their reproductive health and becoming their own advocates.
She also enjoys travelling, diving and Marvel movies.
